Oxfordshire, prepare for some serious Schnauzer-mania as POP+BARK brings its famous Schnauzer Cafe event to Slug and Lettuce in Oxford this Sunday 4th October – and oh my goodness it’s going to be epic!

Not only is it the FIRST time Schnauzer Cafe has been in Oxford, but it’s also spooky season, so expect double the trouble and even more fun. Think a sea of Schnauzers playing, zooming and making new friends, with pumpkins everywhere, ghosts ’n’ ghouls and lots of Halloween chaos thrown in for good measure.

Tricks? Absolutely. Treats? Those Schnauzer noses are already on the case.

Expect our iconic Pupuccino Bar, Pumpkin Patch, heaps of Halloween stuffies and dog toys to destroy in a secure off-lead space – plus one VERY special surprise guest lurking in the shadows... 👀

So whether your Schnauzer is too cute to spook, rocking a beard that would make any wizard jealous or fully committed to their villain era, we promise Oxford’s very first Schnauzer Cafe is going to be a good one.

🐾 Wowzers Schnauzers, you can enjoy 80 glorious minutes, one HUGE venue and a whole room full of magnificent beads, ready to play, sniff, zoomie and make new besties. Oxford Schnauzer people, this one’s for you.

🎃 And because our Oxford debut lands in spooky season, we’re giving Schnauzer Café a Halloween glow-up. Expect an epic Pumpkin Patch, pumpkins on pumpkins, creepy-cute props, tricks, treats and plenty of frightfully good photo moments. Costumes optional, but very much encouraged!

🍸 We’re taking over Slug and Lettuce Oxford, with a brilliant indoor bar that’s pawfect for off-lead fun. Grab a cocktail, order some delicious bites and watch the Schnauzer madness unfold while your pup makes new friends.

🧁 No POP+BARK party would be complete without our iconic Pupuccino Bar. Your Schnauzer can take their rightful place at the bar, get stuck into a pup cup piled high with delicious toppings, sniff out loads of treats and enjoy heaps of toys, balls and off-lead fun.

🛍️ A hand-picked doggy biz will be popping up with a stall packed with dog accessories, goodies and plenty of opportunities to treat your four-legged bestie. Because obviously they deserve a little something.

🦇 Safe, secure and OFF-LEAD. Once inside our dedicated event space, the leads can come off and the fun can begin. Let them zoom, sniff, play, cause a little moustachioed mischief and make new friends while you mingle with fellow Schnauzer people.

We’re transforming Slug and Lettuce into a spooky-season playground with pumpkins on pumpkins, skeletons galore, ghosts ’n’ ghouls, creepy-cute props and a Pumpkin Patch ready for its close-up.

There’ll be Halloween toys ready to be chased, squeaked, snuffled and absolutely DESTROYED, spooky surprises around every corner and plenty of frightfully good photo moments along the way...

DRESS TO DISTRESS 🎃

Halloween costumes are optional but very much encouraged.

Whether your Schnauzer is serving tiny witch, spooky ghost, devil dog, pumpkin realness or something so wildly extra it deserves its own Instagram account – we want to see it.

Better still, get involved yourself. Come twinning, dress up the kids or rock a group ensemble. This is your excuse to go completely over the top, and we fully support it!

There’s just something about Schnauzers meeting Schnauzers.

From tiny pups finding their paws to distinguished old Schnauzers who’ve seen it all, every age and size is welcome to come, mingle and find their people... well, Schnauzers.

Miniature, Standard or Giant – bring the beards, bring the brows, bring the whole Schnauzer squad.

Our events are a brilliant way to socialise your Schnauzer in a safe, secure space where they can be completely OFF-LEAD. No pavement hellos. No tangled leads. Just the freedom to sniff, play, zoomie, make friends or strut around!

And trust us, they KNOW when they’re surrounded by their fellow Schnauzers.

Watching them clock a room full of beards, brows and dogs who look just like them never gets old.

Our Dog Lover tickets are made for anyone who simply wants to spend 80 glorious minutes surrounded by a sea of their favourite dogs.

If you’ve always dreamed of owning a Schnauzer, it’s the perfect chance to get to know the breed, meet Schnauzers of every age and size, chat to their humans and experience first-hand what makes these bearded, brilliant, big-personality little legends quite so special.

Need a serotonin fix? Consider this your prescription. Come cuddle some Schnauzers, grab a cocktail, take approximately 600 photos and leave significantly happier than you arrived.

Bring your bestie, surprise a Schnauzer-obsessed friend, plan the cutest first date imaginable or just book because being surrounded by magnificent moustaches and tiny old-man faces sounds like a frankly excellent way to spend a Sunday in Oxford.

No POP+BARK event is complete without a trip to our iconic Pupuccino Bar – and this Halloween, the treats are getting a spooky little glow-up.

Watch your Schnauzer take their rightful place at the bar and tuck into a delicious pup cup piled high with tasty toppings, biscuit treats and all their favourite goodies. No tricks here, just treats.

It’s messy. It’s ridiculously cute. Your dog will truly love it!

Because a Pupuccino isn’t just a snack. It’s a whole moment – and judging by the queues of Schnauzers waiting (and getting those magnificent beards suitably messy) at the bar, we can tell it’s the highlight of their day.

FAMILY FRIENDLY FRIGHTS 👻

Calling all little monsters (and big kids too) – POP+BARK Halloween is made for the whole family.

We’ll have Halloween activity sheets, heaps of spooky dog toys and squishies to play with the dogs, plus our famous Bubble Bash – technically for the dogs, but we’ve yet to meet a kid who doesn’t get just as excited when the bubbles start flying.

Dress them up, bring them along and let them loose in a room full of dogs, pumpkins, bubbles and Halloween fun.

And if the grown-ups happen to have a cocktail in hand while all this is going on? Even better.

POP+BARK have 6 years experience in hosting safe events and:

• Make each indoor venue dog-proof and safe for them to roam
• Carry out a Risk Assessment prior to every event
• Safety check, sanitise and clean all the event props
• Ensure all staff are fully-trained and adept dog handlers
• Have one dog first-aid team member on site

ACCESSIBILITY

The venue has a wheelchair accessible entrance and there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet in the venue.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Dogs attending the event must be friendly, well-socialised and up to date with their vaccinations (this will not be checked). Dogs showing aggression towards other dogs or humans will be asked to leave.
2. POP+BARK are the organisers, Schnauzer Cafe is the event and Slug and Lettuce is the venue. All parties take no responsibility for your dog or its actions, you must keep them safe and if your dog harms another dog or person it will fall under your own liability.
3. Please check your Pet Insurance to ensure your dog is covered for public liability in the event they harm another dog or person. Should you bring more than one dog, ensure you have enough people to care responsibly them – suggested dog to human ratio is 2:1
4. If you or your dog are harmed by someone else's dog you must resolve the matter with the dog's owner - POP+BARK and the venue take no responsibility for the actions of the dogs attending. Should a fellow guest harm your dog, they will be personally accountable and all issues must be resolved as if in a public space - the POP+BARK team cannot mediate.
5. You must purchase the correct ticket to attend. If you are bringing a dog in your booking, all people in the party are then classed as 'Owners' and should be in possession of Owner tickets and in attendance with at least one dog.
6. If neither you or the guests in your booking are bringing a dog with you to the event, you must buy a Dog Lover ticket.
7. All children must be accounted for - children 16 or under are charged a reduced rate and children 6 or under are free but you must still order a ticket for them.
8. All dogs must be accounted for and we ask you order a ticket for your dog (they are free) please do not attend without a ticket for them. If you attend and do not bring a dog with you but have purchased an Owner ticket it will be at the discretion of the organisers as to whether you are allowed in - you will be required to pay the additional costs to convert your ticket to a Dog Lover ticket plus a service fee.
9. There is a No Refund policy in place due to the nature of these events - you must check you are available to attend before purchasing tickets. However, if in the event you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend or family member. All such requests are dealt with on a case by case basis and at the discretion of the organisers.
10. If the event should be cancelled you will receive a refund minus the booking fee paid to TicketTailor or a Refund via Voucher so you can attend another event. The booking fee is £1 per paid ticket. There is no booking fee for free tickets (dog tickets or Children 6 or under)
11. Dogs receive a free Pupuccino or a Pupcorn but all other food and drinks for humans and dogs are payable - the ticket covers entry only.
12. Please only bring Schnauzers (all sizes welcome) and Schnauzer Crosses that are at least 50% Schnauzer - unfortunately we are unable to accommodate doggy siblings or dog guests of other breeds.
13. POP+BARK may film the event and footage could be used but not limited to: website, event and marketing promotion, social media content adverts and press materials. If you would like to request the removal of your image you can email help@popandbark.com but please be aware while we will endeavour to action any requests, on occasion we may not be able to remove footage once it has been published or in the public domain.
14. We reserve the right to amend, reschedule or cancel the event at any time. We aim to provide guests suitable notice of any changes.
