The famous POP+BARK dog cafe is heading to the Surrey Hills once again… and this time we’re taking over The Bear for a sun-soaked day of waggy tails and seriously cute vibes.
All dogs are welcome at this one — big or small, mixed or pedigree, fluffy or smooth. If your dog loves a play and a good social, you won’t want to miss it...
Set in beautiful Oxshott, this newly refurbished and ever so dog-friendly pub is the perfect backdrop for a doggy takeover. Think delicious BBQs, spritzes flowing, sunshine on the terrace (we’re manifesting it), and a space full of happy, off-lead dogs.
As seen on Dragons’ Den, POP+BARK are famous for their dog socials around the country. Whether you’re a proud dog parent or just completely obsessed, you can expect the happiest day ever. Waggy tails, feel-good energy, and a camera roll you won’t recover from.

Ulti-Mutt Dog Café is a one-of-a-kind event where all dogs (and their humans) come together for the ultimate off-lead social.
Think waggy tails, playful chaos and a whole lot of mixed-breed magic. Whether your dog doesn’t quite fit a typical breed event, you’ve got a multi-dog household, or you just want to come along with friends and enjoy it together — this is your space. Mixed breeds, rescues, big, small, scruffy or sleek… as long as they’re friendly, they’re on the list.
Expect off-lead play, toys to tear into, tasty treats and of course our iconic Pupuccino Bar.

The Bear in Oxshott is a true gem. Recently refurbished, effortlessly stylish and proudly dog-friendly.
We’ll be taking over the entire venue, including the stunning outdoor terrace.

POP+BARK have 6 years experience in hosting safe events and:
- Make each indoor venue dog-proof and safe for them to roam
- Carry out a Risk Assessment prior to every event
- Safety check, sanitise and clean all the event props
- Ensure all staff are fully-trained and adept dog handlers
- Have one dog first-aid team member on site
ACCESSIBILITY
The Bear has a wheelchair accessible entrance and accessible toilet facilities inside.
If you require extra assistance you can contact us at help@popandbark.com otherwise simply make yourself known to our staff upon arrival.
OFF-LEAD
Dogs are welcome off-lead both inside and outside.
The outdoor space will be fully secured for safe off-lead play, and the outdoor terrace is enclosed.
Dogs will be far more interested in the treats, toys and making new friends, but if your dog is particularly inquisitive or known for making a great escape, you may prefer to keep them on lead.
Please use your judgement and act accordingly.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Dog Requirements
1.1 Friendliness and Sociability: This event is designed for friendly, well-socialised dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs and people including children. Please only bring dogs that are comfortable in off-lead group settings and show no signs of aggression, anxiety, or fear. Dogs that display nervous or reactive behaviours toward others may be asked to leave, and refunds will not be available in these cases.
1.2 Health, Vaccinations, and Wellbeing: For the health of all pets attending, all dogs must be in good health and up-to-date on vaccinations. Please do not bring dogs that are ill or suffering from contagious illnesses, such as Kennel Cough, as well as dogs that are pregnant or in season, to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing. Vaccination records will not be checked at entry, but owners are attesting to their dog’s health by attending.
1.3 Breed Restrictions: In compliance with UK laws, specific breeds, including Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, and XL Bully breeds, are not permitted at the event. Additionally, Muzzles are not permitted to be worn as we want all dogs to feel comfortable and free to socialise safely. At time of booking you are required to tell us what breed of dog you have, we may need to perform due diligence and check with the Event Insurer whether they will provide cover if a certain rare or unusual breed is attending. In the event they cannot, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
1.4 Avoiding Large Groups of the Same Breed: We strive to create an inclusive experience for a diverse range of dog breeds, so we kindly ask that attendees avoid bringing large groups of the same breed. POP+BARK hosts breed-specific events throughout the year that are tailored for groups to celebrate together. For this event, we reserve the right to cancel bookings if a large group of the same breed is identified.
1.5 Off-Lead Participation: We highly encourage dogs to be off-lead during the event, as this promotes socialisation and helps reduce anxiety, allowing them to enjoy the experience fully. However, please keep a close eye on your dog and ensure their behaviour is appropriate for the setting. Owners are responsible for supervising their dog’s interactions at all times.
2. Owner Responsibilities
2.1 Supervision and Care: Owners are responsible for their pets at all times, including monitoring their interactions with other dogs and people. For a safe experience, it is a maximum of two dogs per adult. Please bring an additional friend to help with supervision if you have more than one dog.
2.2 Cleaning Up After Your Dog: All attendees must pick up after their dog, bagging and binning any mess to keep the venue clean and welcoming for everyone. We appreciate your help in maintaining a clean environment, cleaning products will be available to use.
2.3 Liability and Insurance: Any incidents involving dogs during the event should be managed directly between owners, similar to public settings. POP+BARK and The Happenstance assume no liability for incidents involving dogs. We encourage attendees to verify that their pet insurance includes public liability coverage for potential incidents with other dogs or people.
2.4 Personal Accountability: In the unfortunate event that your dog or another dog is harmed, please resolve the matter directly with the other party. Our team at POP+BARK cannot mediate disputes or assume responsibility in these situations.
3. Ticketing and Refund Policy
3.1 Correct Ticket Type: Each attendee must have the correct ticket. Every human and dog should have a ticket, regardless of whether the ticket is free or not. Those attending with a dog, regardless of whether they are the dog's owner, should have an “Owner” ticket. This includes anyone in the party who will be accompanying a dog. Guests that are attending without a dog in their party and are attending to enjoy the social experience as a dog lover, should select a “Dog Lover” ticket.
3.2 No Refunds: Due to the nature of this event, tickets are non-refundable, so please confirm your availability before booking. If you are unable to attend, tickets may be transferred to family or friends. Contact us directly to discuss ticket transfers help@popandbark.com
3.3 Additional Ticketing Details: Children 16 and under can attend at a reduced rate, while children under 6 are free; however, all children must have a reserved ticket. Please also ensure that each dog has a reserved (free) ticket to enter.
4. Event Cancellation and Refunds
If the event is canceled, you will receive a refund minus a small booking fee, or you may opt for a voucher to attend a future event. The booking fee is £1 per paid ticket, and no fee applies to free tickets (such as child or dog tickets).
5. Food and Drink
All attending dogs will receive a complimentary Pupuccino or Pupcorn. Additional food and drink options for both humans and dogs are available for purchase. Please note that tickets cover entry only, and any additional refreshments are at your own expense. Guests are not permitted to bring their own food and drinks, unless for infants and babies.
6. Event Photography and Filming
Our event may be photographed or filmed to capture these memories and share them with our community. POP+BARK may use event footage on our website, social media, and in promotional materials. If you wish to request the removal of an image featuring you or your dog, please email help@popandbark.com. While we strive to honour removal requests, content already in the public domain may not be alterable.
7. General Notice
POP+BARK reserves the right to amend, reschedule, or cancel the event at any time. We will make every effort to provide suitable notice if any changes arise. Please understand that any changes will be in the best interest of ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
